Adoption fee

We are an official non-profit foundation and work exclusively with volunteers. Preparing a dog or cat for adoption involves significant costs. Some animals require extensive medical care, while others are so young that they need long-term foster care before they can travel.

Because of this, we are required to ask for an adoption fee. This fee helps cover the expenses incurred for the animal. These include not only medical costs and direct care expenses, but also fuel costs for transportation, rent for our facilities, and even costs for animals who, despite all efforts, do not survive.

Puppy / Adult Dog

The adoption fee for a puppy or adult dog is €350. This includes:

  • (Puppy) vaccinations

  • General check-up by our veterinarian

  • Microchipping

  • European passport

  • Deworming

  • Flea treatment

  • Transport to the Netherlands

  • Spaying/neutering if the dog is 8 months or older

  • Leishmania test if the dog is older than 8 months (read more about Leishmania and the test here)

  • 4DX blood test (for Heartworm, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma)

Rehomed Puppy / Adult Dog

The adoption fee for a rehomed dog is €175.

Kitten / Adult Cat

The adoption fee for a kitten or adult cat is €225. This includes:

  • (Kitten) vaccinations

  • General check-up by our veterinarian

  • Microchipping

  • European passport

  • Deworming

  • Flea treatment

  • Transport to the Netherlands

  • Spaying/neutering if the cat is 8 months or older

  • FIV and FeLV blood tests (only for cats 8 months or older)

Reduced Adoption Fee

Some animals have a reduced adoption fee for various reasons. For example, the animal might have a sponsor, or it might have a lower chance of adoption. We offer a lower fee to give these animals a better chance at a loving home — because they all deserve it equally!

Please note that the adoption fee is non-negotiable.
